Clop your hooooooooooooooooooooooves!
[Airhorns]

Hoofwerk began after being sent this video, with no commentary, by Anthony Cantor. Watching it, I thought to myself, “damn, check out that hoofwork”, and thus this project was born by tossing horse puns, juke music, Kraftwerk and a love of the most naive of IDM into a blender and letting it ride.

I really love this album, not because I’d argue it’s particularly revelatory or boundary-pushing or any of that nonsense, but because it makes me feel good. It’s sincere, naive, playful, sloppy and gets right down to business. I’d make better tracks as the project would progress, but this captures a real moment of joy in making music for me.
